Ran out of charge? Roadside options for EV drivers

Mobile charging buys you the next 30 kilometres
Mobile charging units deliver enough energy to reach the nearest permanent charger rather than filling the pack. It is the fastest resolution when a charger you were counting on turns out to be offline.
Flatbeds only — never a dolly
Electric drivetrains stay mechanically coupled to the wheels, so towing with any axle on the ground can push current back through the motor and damage the drive unit. Every EV recovery on the platform is dispatched as a flatbed.
“If an operator offers to dolly-tow your EV, decline and request a flatbed. The repair bill dwarfs the difference in tow cost.”
Plan the buffer, not the best case
Cold weather, headwinds and highway speeds all cut range. Treat 20% as your floor on unfamiliar routes so a single offline charger never becomes a recovery call.
