Privacy Policy

Effective Date: March 20, 2026 | Last Updated: March 20, 2026

At Next Roadside, your trust is our highest priority. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, safeguard, and share your information when you use our roadside assistance mobile app and website services.

Overview

This policy applies to all users of 'Next Roadside' services, including drivers seeking emergency assistance and our network of verified mechanics, tow operators, and roadside professionals. By accessing or using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect several categories of information to provide you with rapid, secure, and accurate roadside dispatch. This includes:

  • Account Information: Your name, email address, profile picture, and phone number when you register a profile.

  • Vehicle Details: Make, model, year, color, and license plate of your registered vehicle(s) so dispatchers and mechanics can identify you immediately on-site.

  • Payment Data: Payment card details and transactional history. Payments are processed securely via PCI-compliant partner gateways; we do not store full raw credit card credentials on our servers.

  • Communication Logs: Direct messages, roadside photos uploaded of your vehicle problem, and recorded phone calls with our 24/7 dispatcher system.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is utilized strictly to facilitate emergency help, secure payments, and maintain service safety:

  • Service Dispatch: Sending your vehicle specs and current location coordinates to nearby mechanics and tow truck operators.

  • Live Pricing & Quotes: Generating transparent, real-time quotes based on your specific roadside problem and distance parameters.

  • Real-Time Tracking: Allowing you to track the dispatched mechanic's route and estimated arrival time on our interactive map.

  • System Improvements: Analyzing anonymous trip data to improve dispatch speed, optimize route mapping, and screen provider ratings.

3. Location Data (Foreground & Background)

Because Next Roadside is an on-demand emergency service, continuous location tracking is fundamental to our core functionality.

With your permission, we collect precise latitude and longitude coordinates. Foreground location is gathered when the app is open to map your breakdown spot. If enabled, background location allows our mechanics to find your car even if your phone screen goes to sleep or you put the phone in your pocket while waiting safely.

You can modify or disable location permissions at any time via your smartphone settings, but please note that disabling location services will prevent us from dispatching automatic roadside professionals directly to you.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to marketing brokers. We share details strictly under these operational conditions:

  • With Roadside Providers: Once you accept a quote, we share your name, phone number, vehicle details, and breakdown location with the chosen technician so they can reach and assist you.

  • With Dispatch Partners: In areas with limited individual provider coverage, we route request parameters safely through licensed third-party dispatch centers.

  • For Legal & Safety Compliance: We may disclose information to law enforcement, highway patrols, or emergency services if necessary to ensure driver safety or comply with legal subpoenas.

5. Data Security

We employ industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical security measures to protect your personal information. All network traffic is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL/TLS) technology. Database access is strictly restricted to authorized staff who require it for core operations, and transactional logs are regularly audited.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have complete control over how your data is handled on our platform:

  • Access & Correction: You can view and edit your profile details, vehicle list, and contact numbers directly within the mobile app account tab.

  • Marketing Opt-Out: You can unsubscribe from promotional emails or notification tips using the 'unsubscribe' link at the bottom of our emails.

  • Account Deletion: You may submit an account deletion request through our app support or by emailing privacy@nextroadside.com. Upon request, we will permanently delete or anonymize all non-legally required personal data.

7. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed to licensed adult drivers and are not intended for children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from minors. If we discover a minor has registered an account, we will take immediate steps to remove their information from our records.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our dispatch technology, legal standards, or operational practices. When updates are published, we will revise the 'Effective Date' at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we safeguard your data.
